The project
JEMSHI is a developing projectwith the main objective of creating a joint European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences’ Innovation, being financed by Erasmus Mundus Design Measures.
This Master aims to prepare professionals in speech, language, and hearing sciences to be innovative, communicative, and adaptable in addressing current and future challenges in the field, while also prioritising ethical and legal considerations and the needs of specific populations. Our plan is to provide an unique opportunity to future students to develop their professional and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment, and organisations to obtain new high quality solutions to societal challenges.
Project outcomes
Six major tasks are foreseen in the JEMSHI project:
- Needs analysis,
- Development of studies program,
- Joint degree policy and partnership agreement,
- Accreditation processes,
- HEI in-house analysis and development plan,
- Dissemination strategy and preparation.
Project partners
The consortium is composed of three institutions: Polytechnic University of Porto (Portugal), Ilia State University (Georgia) and University of Maribor (Slovenia).
Project meetings
Three consortium meetings are foreseen in the project:
- 1st Meting at the Polytechnic University of Porto, 7 - 8 February 2023,
- 2nd Meeting at the Ilia State University, 10 - 11 May 2023
- 3rd Meeting at the University of Maribor, 23 - 24 October 2023
