JEMSHI master programme

The JEMSHI Master Programme is a 2-year programme for a total of 120 ECTS credits. The Programme courses are taught in English at all partner institutions.

The educational aim of the Programme is to prepare students to become innovative, adaptable, and culturally aware leaders in the field of Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. Graduates of the programme have the skills to design and implement evidence-based solutions to complex challenges, develop and manage customer-oriented services, conduct applied research, provide counselling and advocacy services, and effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. They also possess strong technological competence and a thorough understanding of ethical and legal considerations.

Admission criteria

Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Therapy, or Audiology, or other related areas. Other Bachelor's degrees in areas considered adequate to the master programme.

Location

  • 1st semester in Portugal (IPP)
  • 2nd semester in Georgia (ISU)
  • 3rd semester in Slovenia (UM)
  • 4th semester in one HEI in the consortium (it may include other countries)

Objectives

This Master aims to prepare professionals in speech, language, and hearing sciences to be innovative, communicative, and adaptable in addressing current and future challenges in the field, while also prioritizing ethical and legal considerations and the needs of specific populations.
